Streszczenie
The paper presents results of analysis concerning type of seagoing ships propulsion plants concerning efficiency, kind of fuel used and influence of propulsion plant operation on marine environment. Application of innovatory combined turbine propulsion plants where gas turbines are thermodynamically connected with steam turbines allows achievement of high efficiency about 60%. Modern design of turbines and using natural gas as a fuel are very important. Gas fuel is characterised by lowered harmfulness for environment than traditional heavy fuel oil. Particularly gas fuel does not contain sulphur and gas fuel exhaust gases are free of solid particles. Additionally calorific value of gas fuel is 25% higher than heavy fuel oil thus the amount of exhaust gases and carbon dioxide emitted to atmosphere are reduced.

Streszczenie
In the paper the problem of measuring choking-coils characteristics in a wide range of a dc component of current and frequency is considered. Disadvantages of classical bridge methods are discussed and the manner of measurements of dependences of the module and the phase of the choking-coil impedance on a dc component of the current on inductance and frequency is described. The accuracy of this manner is discussed. Some results of measurements of the considered characteristics of choking-coils containing ferromagnetic cores made of different materials are shown. On the basis of the obtained results of investigations the ranges of current and frequency, in which each of the considered choking-coils has the best exploitive properties, are shown.

Streszczenie
According to market research on Polish consumers, color and aromatic components are very important in coffee beverages as they are the main constituents of the sensory experience of coffee drinkers. This study investigated the impact of degree of roasting on the evolution of coffee sensory features. Furthermore, the aim of the study was to evaluate the relationship between selected sensory parameters and L*a*b color values. The aroma profiles of coffee beverages were influenced by the degrees of roasting the coffee beans. Our study showed that there is evolution and change in the aroma characteristics from light to dark roasting coffee. Furthermore, our data do not show the significant correlation between selected sensory attributes and color parameters L*, a*, b.

Streszczenie
The paper presents the worked out and constructed by the authors power amplifier designed to be used in systems for measuring of parameters of magnetic devices. This amplifier makes possible amplification of the input signal in a wide range of frequency and amplitude of the output voltage. The construction of the system and the results of measurements of characteristics of the constructed amplifier as well as of the system for measuring the characteristics of the pulse transformers are described.

This scientific article is about the complexity of supply chains, the problematic of fixed order points and the potential of regulated agreements between the Original Equipment Manufacturer and its Suppliers. There are two different perspectives. On the one hand, the OEM tries to be as flexible as possible, whereas the supplier needs a clear certainty about future orders. To be competitive on the current market, it is not enough just to improve the internal processes of a specific company, but rather the whole supply chain has to be optimized. Consequently, one main point has to be focused within the supply chain – certainty against flexibility. With the implementation of individual contracts between every direct cooperating business, the frozen horizon could help to avoid the arising waste by the bullwhip effect which is exclusively attributable to the uncertainty of the supplier. The OEM has to realize that a reduction of its own flexibility and control leads to a tremendous optimization of the entire supply chain and thus to a better position in the market as well.

Streszczenie
In the paper the problem of measurement of thermal resistance of solar cells is considered. The electric dc method of measurement of thermal resistance of semiconductor devices with the p-n junction is presented and the infrared and contact methods are described. Measurements of the dependence of thermal resistance of 3 types of solar cells on the current are made and the analysis of uncertainty of the measurement of the considered parameter is performed. It results from the carried out investigations that the use of the electric method is justified with big values of the current of the solar cell, assuring a significant rise of its internal temperature.

Streszczenie
There is a need to check the effects of automatic regulation system, before it is used in real conditions when sailing on Silm Lake. Simulink Real-Time platform, which is a component of Matlab software, is designed for simulation of automatic control systems working on the basis of real objects. In the simulations nonlinear mathematical model of real floating training ship is used as a control object. The model contains modeled filters used for longitudinal, transversal and rotational speeds on the basis of position change and transducers for thrusters and steering gear. Above mentioned simulations are conducted in real time, because it allows for taking into account time of the signals propagation and digital signal processing effects. This article presents the real time lab station system configuration. Simulation results for Model Predictve Control system are described and presented.

Streszczenie
Mustard paste is finely ground seeds of various species of mustard mixed with water, food acids and salt, sugar and various spices. It is commonly used condiment and on the market there can be found many of its types. Seven mustard paste type Sarepska were procured from the Tricity market and tested. The aim of this study was comparison of selected quality features. The content of sodium chloride, total acidity, dry matter content due to PN-A-86964 were analyzed. Additionally the color of the tested samples was determined using the CIE Lab method and the selected sensory features were rated. Studies have confirmed the differences in the quality of mustards, they meet most of the requirements of the standard, but their sensory evaluation was diverse.

The paper presents the results of experiments, which aim was to evaluate the influence of selected factors on the cost and time of the query in database systems. The cost and execution time are criteria of assessment of query plans by the cost-based optimizer of a database system. Essential for constructing queries and for the efficiency of cost-based optimizer are: indexing, aliasing, asymmetry of the data and the availability of statistics referring to the tables. Experiments confirmed that the appropriate way to implement a query, based on the use of indexation or aliasing, and on modification of query parameters with the systematic generation of statistical information about the data can significantly reduce the time to obtain query results, offload the processor and reduce the number of disk reads. The experiment was conducted using the real data in the database ORACLE

Streszczenie
The purpose of the research was to assess the eating habits, nutritional status and level of physical activity of a selected group of children. Empirical study was conducted with the use of an authorial questionnaire – survey in May 2013 in a group of 100 parents of children aged 6–9 years attending grades 1–3 of primary school in Gdynia. Eating habits of children were found to be beneficial in terms of regularity and the number of meals consumed, consumption of the first breakfast at home and a second breakfast at school and the lack of snacking in the course of time spent in front of a computer and a TV. As unbeneficial were considered eating habits of children in terms of snacking between main meals during the day and too short time of consumption of last meal before bedtime. It was found that the structure of consumption of individual food products is not compatible with the recommendations of the Institute of Food and Nutrition on low consumption of fruits and vegetables, whole grain products, leguminous plants, fish and high consumption of sweets. This trend may be the cause of shortage of nutrients such as vitamins, minerals, fiber and polyunsaturated fatty acids omega-3.

The international community has shown that it can provide maximum protection from pirate attacks, with a coordinated use of available units, i.e. ships and aircraft, for monitoring the Gulf of Aden and the Somali Basin. The German Navy has participated in Operation ATALANTA since December 2008, so this article will evaluate the German involvement in respect to - the legal basis, quoting the respective UN Security Council Resolutions, - the tasks of Operation ATALANTA, i.e. protection of vessels of the World Food Programme and prevention and suppression of acts of piracy, - the organisational structure of ATALANTA, - the overall composition of the EU Naval Force, provided by ten EU Member States and Norway.

This study was primarily designed to show the characteristics of the finished mixes to bake gluten-free bread. The scope of the research included the assessment of selected physicochemical properties and characteristics of the sorption properties. The evaluation of the physicochemical properties of the tested products was based on the evaluation of loose and tapped density, coefficient of Hausner HR and Carr index ICarr. The products have been tested in terms of evaluation of their sorption properties using static method as well as dynamic method based on the sorption kinetics of the steam process. For the mathematical interpretation of the process of water vapor isotherms adsorption the BET equation has been used. Based on studies performed, it was alleged that differences in the sorption properties as well as the physicochemical properties of the tested mixtures for baking gluten-free bread have been largely determined by the heterogeneous composition of the raw materials of the examinated products.

Cosmetics market is one of the fastest growing consumer markets, where client gets newer and newer products for body care. Purpose of the studies was to investigate the consumers' opinion about innovations in cosmetics products. Survey was carried out in the group of 185 women residents of Pomerania province. Questionnaire of survey included closed questions with single or multiple choice. Results were presented as the percentage of responses. Respondents demonstrated interest in new types of cosmetics, especially ecological ones. Encouraging the purchase of a new kinds of cosmetics were factors like gentleness to the skin, a smaller amount of preservatives, better quality. There are also barriers for using such cosmetics like poor accessibility on market and too high price. Consumers choosing cosmetics are often guided by the opinion of other persons.

The consortium SPP MiG participated the NGCP challenge organised by Singapore Maritime Institute and the Maritime Port Authority of Singapore. The main idea of the concept is based on the condition of 80 % transhipment cargo at the terminal. This kind of transhipment hub requires an immense sorting effort of all boxes discharged from vessels and to be loaded on other vessels. Thus the consortium decided to build a terminal around a sorting machine as the heart of all operation. The technology for this sorting area is based on the Linear Motor Transfer Technology, which is also used for the Transrapid airport connection in Shanghai. Simulation studies, executed with the CHESSCON suite, proved that this concept is able to achieve the targets given by the organisers. Within this paper the concept is presented with the technologies used for discharging/loading, horizontal transportation, stacking and sorting the containers on the terminal. Furthermore some ecological aspects will be discussed.

Streszczenie
The aim of the study was to evaluate selected quality parameters of honey: water activity and colour parameters and their changes during storage under different conditions. Also the effect of the botanical origin of honey and filtration process on these parameters were examined. In both types of honey, filtered and unfiltered, the initial water content was determined by refractometry, initial water activity was determined by the AquaLab and colour parameters L* a* b* were measured using a colorimeter Chroma Meter CR 400. In addition, a measurement of water activity of the tested honeys stored for 90 days under a constant relative humidity in the range of 0,069-0,932 water activity was done. Analysis of the examined water activity of the honey stored for 90 days showed that storage under conditions of low relative humidity (aw = 0,069-0,548) decreased water activity of honey in relation to their initial water activity, while storage under conditions of high relative humidity (aw>0,548) caused an increase in water activity of honey. It has been also shown that filtration affects the water activity. Storage in different relative humidity conditions and filtration have an impact on the values of the colour parameters of honey, too.

Streszczenie
The purpose of this article is to identify and analyze factors determining the recreational cycling development in Pomerania (Poland), and then indicate the prospects of this type of recreation in the province. The paper describes the universal and the specific factors of the recreational cycling development in Pomerania. The universal factors include: recreational qualities, accommodation and transport accessibility, State Tourism Policy, legal, social and economic factors. The specific factors of the development include: the availability of cycling infrastructure, public transportation’s adoption to the needs of the cyclists, availability and price of products for recreational cycling, safety of the cyclists, cycling enthusiasts’ activity and competing forms of recreation. The analysis shows that there is a significant potential for recreational cycling development in the province of Pomerania. The use of the potential will depend on the authorities policy and its investments as well as local bike organizations’ activity, but the most important factor will be health-oriented social trends. The higher dynamics is expected within local cycle recreation and short cycle excursions comparing with cycle tourism.

Public bikesharing system is a type of urban transport in which bicycles are available for hire by the general public. Systems consist of several elements: terminals, docking stations, bicycles, hotline customer service, service center and logistics system. The purpose of the article was to assess Veturilo, a new public bikesharing system in Warsaw, the biggest of such systems in Poland. The research is based on industry reports, press releases and two in-depth interviews with Veturilo representative and Vice-president of the European Cyclists' Federation. The Veturilo, Warsaw public bikesharing system has been operating since August 2012. It represents third generation of systems using electronic communications for bicycle pickup, drop-off and tracking. The Veturilo is based on business model assuming municipal and private units involved in running the system. Some of the tasks are provided by Public Transport Unit in Warsaw, some – by private operator. The scale of the system has been dynamically growing, currently it consists of 2,666 bicycles and 174 terminals (2014). The system has achieved a scale that might be compared with advanced West-European systems (during two years of existence). It has been becoming quite popular among citizens, so far, 180 thousand of users have already used the public bikesharing, renting bicycles almost 3 million times. It seems that Veturilo system helps to popularize the idea of a public bikesharing in Poland.
